Pac-Maze shirts from Jiggs

From Jiggs……

This year is the 30th anniversary of a game we all spent way too much time playing when I was a kid. (We = children of the 80s) There have been other Pac Man themed shirts (a Ghost one if I remember) but I have never seen a Maze one. I have been wanting to do this one since the spring, but kept putting it off. Then at Deer Creek this year I saw that someone made an attempt at this with a sticker. I figured it was time to go ahead and do a run since I have had several mock-ups of this sitting around since May. After a few tweaks, I finally decided on this design.

The shirt color will be Navy Blue. The front is a three color, yellow, white, and orange print on a Gildan 100% pre-shrunk cotton shirt. The back text is printed in white and reads “You’ve Lost It”. The design is available now for pre-order only in a short sleeve (mens or ladies), long sleeve, and hoody. You won’t find me on lot this fall, so this is the only place to get ‘em.

Keep in mind this a pre-order. It may take a few weeks to get the shirt to you.  The pre-order will close Wednesday 11-3-10, and they should be mailed out a couple of weeks after that. I will do my best to get them to you as soon as possible.

About PhanFood:
Like the band they follow from city to city, Phish fans have their own history of creativity, which in turn follows them wherever they go—even into the kitchen. Edited by Taraleigh Weathers and Pete Mason, PhanFood brings together many of the recipes that Phish fans have made and shared over the years. Included are appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, entrées, desserts, drinks (with and without alcohol), and a variety of other concoctions that Phish fans enjoy while they are in the lots, at the site, or just sitting at home waiting for the next tour to be announced. PhanFood is also a wholly nonprofit endeavor, with all net profits being donated to regional food banks and charities in the cities where Phish plays.

Praise for the book:

“A phantastic collection of goodies—baked, fried, and otherwise—ranging from the simple (yeasted popcorn) to the complex (including a few that will test your culinary mettle); organized with delightful connections to Phish songs, shows, and history; and benefiting the hungry, on many levels—a full-course of phun!” — Ellis Godard, Executive Director of the Mockingbird Foundation

About the editors:
Taraleigh Weathers is the publisher and editor of Healthy Hippie Magazine, and the Phish correspondent for WCAX News. She lives in Burlington, Vermont.

Pete Mason is a special education teacher and the author of Phanart: The Art of the Fans of Phish. He lives in Albany, New York with his dog Halley.

“The Power of Fish Compels You” by Andrew Abis

From PhanArtist Andrew Abis, his Halloween print , “The Power of Fish Compels You’ takes on The Exorcist in his edition of 125 posters printed on Stonehenge Black Paper. The prints measure 13 x 22 and are printed using Jacquard Screen Printing Ink (purple & white)

These posters will be available in Atlantic City for $20

Vinny Naro’s “Immortality”

Immortality“, a 16″ x 25″ giclee art print on 250 gsm archival rag paper is the latest from Vinny Naro. In a limited edition of 25, “Immortality” is signed, numbered, and with COA. Only 20 are available. Vinny will be making different screen printed color variants on black paper, each to be released in batches of 20 or so this winter.

Based on Leonardo DaVinci’sVitruvian Man drawing and its proportions, this is sci-fi concept art to the max! Made to look like it is a lost page (pg.420!) from DaVinci’s own notebook; this describes cryonic re-animation with a mechanical body. It also is a depiction of my own artistic metamorphosis. The Secret of Immortality is written in ASCII binary, backwards and the print is riddled with tons of tiny details.

These are $52.00 includes shipping. Send paypal to vinnynaro@yahoo.com

There are also 12×18″ indigo press variants available; not signed or numbered, on 100lb. uncoated stock for $20 (includes shipping) or $10 in person.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Mockingbird.

Atlantic City posters from Adam Miszewski

Adam Miszewski’s first ever print celebrates the 10/29-31 run of shows in Atlantic City, NJ.  This screen print is 11×17 and signed and numbered. There are two versions of this poster: 80 orange/brown prints and 20 blue prints, both over black background. The orange prints cost $20 and blue prints run $25.

Phamily Poker Tournament

Update 10/16/10: PhanArt is proud to Sponsor the 2010 Phamily Poker Classic. Posters, shirts and a copy of PhanArt: The Art of the Fans of Phish will be included as prizes in the event.

Announcing the 2010 Phamily Poker Classic!

The Phamily Poker Classic is a No Limit Texas Hold-em event that is for the phans and taking place in Atlantic City in the afternoon of October 30th with the final table taking place in the afternoon of October 31st. The Phamily Poker Classic is a completely non profit event with a portion of the proceeds going to The Mockingbird Foundation and the rest to the prize pool along with other cool donated items. The Tropicana Hotel & Casino is being gracious enough to help us run this event and with their help, I know that this will be a great experience for all involved!

Every player in The Phamily Poker Classic will have an opportunity to win the Tournament Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot. As of 9/12 the jackpot is currently at $49,768. Full details and rules for the Tournament Bad Beat Jackpot can be found here.

Each table will have a bounty player. This player is playing for the benefit of The Mockingbird Foundation and a special prize will be given to the player who knocks a bounty player out of the tournament. If a bounty player knocks another bounty player out of the tournament, then the latter bounty player’s prize (or prizes) will be added to the former bounty player’s prize(s). In the off chance that a bounty player wins the Tournament, the prize(s) that that player has will be auctioned off following the final table. While you will win a non-cash prize if you bust out a bounty player, we anticipate that the number and quality of non-cash prizes you receive for doing so will depend on the stage at which you knock out that bounty player and what prize(s) are carried by that bounty player at the time of knockout.

Tournament tickets are $120 and are available for advanced purchase at Cardboard Spaceship. If there is a demand to expand the tournament; additional seats may be available. Do not count on purchasing tickets at the door as this event is likely to be sold out in advance at 100 players.

For further details about the tournament as well as rules and regulations click here.
