Jiggs’ Mcconnells

Getting hungry for a sandwich? Have a Lear Jet to fly in? Well Jiggs has struck again with his new McConnell/McDonald shirts.

Per Jiggs Blog:  Once again after these went to press, I became aware of an earlier version of this one. Though I wasn’t able to find any. The idea was brought to light by PT user jerryfreak, and I added the text to complete the idea. The back reads: “I’m diggin’ it”. The shirt color is Navy.

McConnell, by Jiggs

Printed on Gildan 100% preshrunk 6.1 oz. cotton, the screen print is a 2 color front and a 1 color back. This time I have these available also on a Gildan ladies cut tee (also same specs as above) by popular demand. I will still do special orders for hoodies (priced at $40) and 3XL and up. Get in touch via the contact link to set that up. For XXL sizes, please add $2.

As always, I include both shipping and delivery confirmation with the purchase price. I also try to throw in a free sticker when available.

T-shirts by Anthony Flynn

Anthony Flynn has created some great shirts to tide fans over as we await summer tour dates to be announced.  All shirts comes in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. If you would like to purchase any of these shirts, or have basic questions, contact Anthony at Flynnunit11@yahoo.com. Anthony has agreed to donate 10% from the sale of each shirt to The Mockingbird Foundation supporting music education nationwide

The shirts as described by Anthony:

ACDC Bag: A shirt for another memorable song that I first heard listening to a recording of Trey’s TMWSIY thesis. My inspiration for the design was other shirts that put a Phish influence on familiar logos/typefaces (Harry Hood Ts that use the Harry Potter logo-font for example)

Cost: 15$ + Shipping and Handling

Split Open and Melt:
This was the first song I ever heard by Phish and, in addition, was the first Phish T-Shirt I designed. The basic idea is that Gumby is both splitting open and melting on the shirt, and thus, hence “split open and melt”

Cost: 12$ + Shipping and Handling

I Am Hydrogen: I was sitting in electronics class listening to Phish one day when I looked at thehttp://www.webelements.com/hanging on a wall. I found there was an element for “I” , an element for “Am” and of course “H” for hydrogen, and the idea for the shirt came to me.

Cost: 15$ + Shipping and Handling

Keep Trey Sober Stickers

While in Miami, I was lucky enough to meet and make friends with  Jeffery and Holly Bowling from San Francisco. While selling beer and water on the lot, I noticed the sticker in Holly’s hand, quite familiar to one that I saw in Albany. This sticker was a hard-to-find lot item, but one of our Top 10 lot items from Fall tour. Turns out we had mutual friends and a conversation about the stickers started. We hung out that night at their hotel and on the beach and discussed getting the stickers up on the blog.

Exclusively on the PhanArt Blog, we have the Keep Trey Sober stickers for sale from Jeffery and Holly.  Whats more, is that $1 of each sticker goes to Mockingbird! The generosity is amazing and we thank Jeff and Holly immensely for this unselfish act.

You can pick up the stickers by sending money to hrc333@yahoo.com via paypal.com

Cost:

1 sticker = $3

2 stickers = $5

3 stickers = $6

4 stickers = $8

5 stickers = $10

email Jeffery and Holly if you want more than 5

John Street Graphics: THE fan business for printing lot-shirts

The first in our series of fan-businesses profiles John Street Graphics, hands down the best place to get your lot shirts made for a solid price. Based in Matthews, NC, and run by Kyle Donaghy, of moe.’s ‘Kyle’s Song’ fame, John Street Graphics specializes in screenprinting and embroidery.

A little background on John Street (johnstreet.net)

John Street Graphics was started in 1991 in the town of Matthews, North Carloina by Kyle Donaghy. Their history with lot shirts goes back to the early 90’s when they would go to Grateful Dead shows and sell tees to pay for road trips. Kyle and his friends sold shirts, following the Dead up and down the east coast for 5 years or so. Their most famous Dead tee being the green Charlotte Dead shirt they had on the lot in the spring of 1995, and the Spring Tripping Atlanta shirt from 1994.
Around ’94 Kyle, his brother Ryan and friend Chris Pettyjohnstarted seeing Phish, but didn’t make any lot shirts until the Raleigh show in Summer 95. Their first successful shirt was the YEM/STP shirt that debuted at the Clifford Ball shows

Kyle put a custom design on the back for the shows, which became the tradition from then on. It was then that they met up with Tripp Shealy, who had his own cool tee he sold featuring some of his early ‘now famous’ art.

John Street tees have been at a lot of great Phish shows over the years. The Clifford Ball, ’96 & ’98 Halloween shows, the Lemonwheel, Big Cypress, and Coventry. At almost any given time between New Years Run 1996 and Coventry, you could find Ryan or Chris selling John Street originals. “Lot Poster King” Tripp Shealy even learned how to print and worked at John Street!

John Street and Kyle are a significant part of the Phish Community, with Kyle noting “One of the greatest feelings in the world is to see one of your creations on someone in Colorado, or Washington State, or wherever! Thank you to all of you who have supported our love of touring and music through the years, we could not have done it without you! See you soon.”

What has John Street made you ask? Why only some of the most iconic Phish lot shirts seen in the past decade+.

Just to name a few:
Sneakin Sally Nut Bag Ale
Piper/PBR
Icculus/Adidas
Reba/Bass
YEM/STP
Llama/Camel
Bug/Mug Root Beer
I Survived Hiatus
and so many more….
(images coming soon)

You may have seen John Street Graphics next to the Merch tent at any moe.down in the last decade – they make and sell a great deal of moe. products as well.

Having used John Street for lot shirts for sometime now, I can say for the first time that John Street is an official ‘PhanArt Recommended, PhanArt Approved’ fan-business.

Check them out at Johnstreet.net or email Kyle at info@johnstreet.net
