Screens ‘n’ Buds – A Virtual Art Show Featuring Beer and Cannabis Inspired Art

The ever-popular Screens ‘n’ Suds has brought artists and art lovers together for over a decade, helping to support the MS Society. This year, they’re going green with a ‘Flowers’ angle on the series, aptly named Screens ‘n’ Buds.

With more than two dozen artists donating prints to the series, this fully for charity series has auctions that are currently underway, and updates can be found on their Facebook page.

Ending on February 4, a raffle for a Shang “Journey in the Suds” or Spusta “Maurice.” You can enter a raffle by donating $5 directly to the Screens ‘n’ Suds MS Walk Team.  For each $5, you’ll get one raffle ticket. There is no limit on spots.  Winner will be announced the morning of 2/4 and will receive either a Spusta Black Rubber “Maurice” mini or Shang “Journey In the Suds” print as a prize.  This donation is tax deductible and a corporate matching gift can double your impact!  If you choose to donate anonymously, please email us a receipt. Screens ‘n’ Suds to Celebrate 10 years this November

Screens ‘n’ Suds will be hosting our 10th Anniversary Beer and Art Festival at Studio Two Three in Scott’s Addition on November 9, 2019 in Richmond, VA.

10 years since the first Screens ‘n’ Suds, held at Capital Ale House in Richmond, VA, the support from the art and beer community has helped to raise more than $274,000 to Multiple Sclerosis and other charities.

This year’s Big Event will feature:
– Unique and very special beer selections
– New Beer Inspired Print Series released at the event
– Multiple Artists in attendance
– VIP Ticketing option (to be announced soon!)

Funds raised at this year’s Screens ‘n’ Suds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Studio Two Three, Gallery 5 Arts and Quy’s family. VIP Tickets are on sale now!

All proceeds from this event will benefit National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Quy’s Family, Studio Two Three and Gallery5 Arts. This event is all ages, but 21+ to drink. Hours of the event are 11am to 6pm, with doors opening at 11am for VIP ticket holders and 1pm for General Admission and Suds ticket holders.

This event is free and open to the public at 1pm ($5 suggested donation to the charities). There are three options for enjoying a spectacular selection of craft beers at this event.

Your VIP or Suds ticket will include unlimited samplings from our hand-picked draft list from 11am-6pm for VIP Tickets and 1pm-6pm for Suds Tickets!  General Admission attendees can purchase beer by the glass.

Space Funk Art Show Blasts off on Saturday, October 20 in Hampton, VA

Space Funk is set to blast-off at The Vanguard Brewpub & Distillery in Hampton, VA on Saturday, October 20 from 12- 5pm. The pop-up art show is inspired by the iconic Hampton Coliseum and its deep history of live performing arts.

The event will debut a newly curated print series exploring “Space Funk” and a very exciting Auction featuring original art, prints, and other memorabilia with all proceeds benefiting MS Society, Hampton City Schools Fine Arts, Hampton Arts Commission and The Matteson Children’s’ Fund.

The event is free, with a suggested $5 donation to the charities. All ages, 21+ to partake in adult beverages and enjoy a DJ spinning throughout the show. Space Funk is presented by Screens ‘n’ Suds, Mothership Art Collective and The Vanguard.

Participating Artists in the Space Funk print series and/or vending at the event include: Wayne K Allen, Blast-O-Plast, Brian Bojo, Isadora Bullock, Charles Cronin, Nick DiFabbio, Joey Feldman, Marc Guertin, Bruce Horan, Itty Bitty Press, Ryan Kerrigan, William Mitchell, Will Ott, JT Lucchesi, Tom Shaw, Dave Thomas, Tripp, Chris Williams of Plastic Flame Press, John Warner, Terry Werner and DKNG, who are collaborating with Almanac Beer Company on a print.

Artist list is subject to change at any time. Prints in the “Space Funk” series will be sold at the Screens ‘n’ Suds table. Strict limits will apply.

Space Funk Auction

The Space Funk Auction is now live. Click here for viewing and bidding on a wide variety of posters and more.  Recent auction additions include:  Bruce Horan‘s Anticipation Painting, Nick DiFabbio & Ryan Kerrigan originals, Framed Art by Dave Thomas & Bruce Horan, Original art by Bruce Horan, Nick DiFabbio, Ryan Kerrigan and monoprints by Dave Thomas and Bruce Horan, 5+ Jim Pollock sketches, drawings, prints, and shirts, plus Hand Embellished Joey Feldman art, Stained Glass Hops and Motherships by SZCrafty Glass, and a Tapestry by Stash Tie Dye.

Featured artwork includes Bruce Horan “Anticipation” Timed Release is now available for pre-order as a timed edition until 10/4/2018 at brucehoran.com. “Anticipation” is a fine art giclée print on 250gsm cotton rag paper, measuring 12” x 18” including a full white border. Prints will be signed and numbered. Cost is $50 per print plus shipping or an option for pick up at the Space Funk event. Bruce is kindly donating 50% of net proceeds to the charities.

Online bidding ends at 3PM EST and live bidding ends at 4:20PM at the event on 10/20/2018.  Serious bids only!  All proceeds from the Auction will benefit the charities.
