Artist La Sil makes original designs from precious materials, creating artisan jewelry and accessories inspired by the movement of life, music and the ocean. Her body of work originates from life, movement studies and drawing, then made into artistic work that is worn. La Sil uses natural fibers, like feathers and leather to allow the work to dance and flow with a one of a kind uniqueness that brings nature to the wearer.
The music collection is inspired by listening to live music and traveling. These art pieces will play on forever and a percentage of sales will go to The Mockingbird Foundation to help raise money for music education for children.
The 5 elements of earth, water, air, fire and aether also inspire La Sil. The free flow design patterns represent these basic ideas as a primitive building block. Her ‘glass earth series’ is about the planet and its fragile ecosystem that lives harmonious throughout all living things organically, as well as an ocean series ‘wave’ collection that is inspired by living and working by the ocean.
Designs are fabricated in silver, gold and platinum metals incorporating precious gemstones, hand blown glass, authentic sea glass and high grade pearls. Most pieces are signed by the artist, hand engraved on the piece, or with a metal or leather tag with her artist name, La SiL.
La Sil is based in Massachusetts and has been making art inspired by Phish since the late 90’s and has a new line of jewelry and more to share with phans. Custom work is also available.
