If you are already familiar with Java’s other show “AN ACOUSTIC RECORD” (formally on Tropic Wave, currently Monday Nights on WFIT Public Radio), then you probably know how Java is excited to return to TROPIC WAVE RADIO with “ON THE FLIPSIDE”!!
The program will air Monday-Friday 10am -2pm (eastern time), beginning TODAY, December 1st 2009…just in time to ring in the new decade. It will also be rerun each night probably at 9pm.
Java’s first “Featured Artist of the Week” is none other than TIMOTHY B. SCHMITof The Eagles & Poco Fame! He’ll play tunes by Timothy featuring his new release EXPANDO, and wind up the week airing his recent interview with Timothy Friday at Noon!
“ON THE FLIPSIDE” is based on the classic AOR (Album Oriented Rock) & Free Form radio format of the 1960’s and 70’s, featuring New (and old) Music by classic rock, soul & folk heroes. The program showcases New Music by Contemporary Artists, as well.
“ON THE FLIPSIDE” will also present frequent interviews with many international recording artists, as well as favorite local and regional performers! During his 3 years in radio, John has already had the pleasure to have had interviewed many of his favorite Pop Culture icons including:
