Faith has two prints and will be at both PhanArt show. Both Fenway and Mohegan Sun posters seen below measure 11″ x 17″ in a signed and numbered limited edition of 45 and are printed on high quality cream cardstock.
Of note on the Mohegan Sun print is a geometric design inspired by Wombi Rock, a three-story high crystal mountain crafted of alabaster and more than 12,000 individual plates of hand-selected onyx, which can be found inside the casino at Mohegan Sun.
These posters are drawn in Dave Russo’s common style which was forged as a cartoonist documenting the scene since the Great Went. While Dave is not primarily a poster artist, it’s hard to resist creating a commemorative piece for the shows he plans to attend. Along side the Mohegan Sun poster, there will also be a small run of playing cards. The image depicts phamiliar characters playing ancestral versions of their instruments, each representing kings of a different suit. Originals will be released at PhanArt Boston. Prints are already available online but a portion will be reserved for the PhanArt shows. A portion of proceeds will go to Groovesafe and The Waterwheel Foundation. In addition to these pieces, the PhanArt exhibits will also feature several previous works.
Bangor, Saratoga Springs and Fenway prints all measure 11″ x 17″ in an edition of 50 each, with Mohegan Sun measuring 11″ x 15″ in an edition of 50.

Below The Moss Forgotten: Phish in the Pacific Northwest was a three-day pop-up museum exhibit presented by The Phishsonian Institute and PhanArt in the Horizon Lounge at Memorial Union. Held during the inaugural Phish Studies Conference, the exhibit represented shows from the band’s PNW debut in Ashland in 1991 to the band’s recent run at the Gorge in 2018.
Presented by Alex Grosby of the Phishsonian and Pete Mason of PhanArt, immense thanks is owed to the Oregon State School of History, Philosophy, and Religion, OSU Theatre, and the Benton County Historical Society for their strong support and all of the conference attendees for their kind words and enthusiasm for this inaugural project.
Private collectors and numerous artists contributed works to this vision to bring it to life. The exhibit made the Memorial Union a welcoming environment for scholarship and added a level of experience to the event. We hope to continue to present Phish exhibits in the near future. You can revisit the exhibit by viewing the slideshow below.
Star City Art Workshop is a partnership that was founded in the spring of 2017 as a bit of a courting gesture between two artists. Describing what each brings would take too long so let’s just say there is one hell of a synergy when you cross an artist with an outlaw, a nurturer with an activist, a dreamer with a lover. These prints are born out of a basement in Star City, West Virginia.
This entire series featured below is available on eBay.
“Austin, Summer 2018″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Burnt sienna and green smear-print on Madero beach speckletone. Run of 28.
This print was inspired by ACDC Bag and other visual imagery that feels Phishy Its creators enjoy expanding the visual language associated with the band, and sometimes reach out there to push that. This one has direct lyrical references as well. The feel is edgy, and the time within which this was created was pretty darn edgy, and still is socially and politically. Feel the parallels between the narratives in the early Phish lyrics and the story we are all living in history together. There are references here of great tension and decisiveness, consequence, reality of mythic proportions. And that is where this print operates from. Colors: burnt sienna red and green/yellow smearprint and green.
“Alpharetta, Fall 2018″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Denim and orange on sweet tooth pop-tone white. Run count undocumented.
Many of these prints have a story to tell. The imagery is venue-inspired with the Georgia Peach.
“Vegas, Fall 2018″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Red and dark violet on sweet tooth pop-tone. Run of 21
“Amy’s Farm 1991″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Yellow and brown on madero beach speckletone. Run of 25.
Amy’s Farm was the first in a series of nine throwback prints for early shows, now referred to as the “Phish 1.0” era.
“Sugarbush 1995″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Red, green, yellow and peacock on madero beach speckletone. Run of 12.“UNH, Durham, NH 1994″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Blue on madero beach speckletone. Run of 11.
This print features UNH school colors and reference to the theatrics of trampoline jumping on stage. Phish are a beautiful embodiment of theatrical-artist-type musicians and youthfulness. So playful in spirit even when paired with all the intellectual brilliance. There is a reference also to holes here. And just a letting go.
“The Colonial, Keene, NH 1992″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Flamingo pink and forest green on madero beach speckletone. Run of 7.“Portsmouth Music Hall, 1992″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Pink and burnt sienna on madero beach speckletone. Run of 11.“Cayuga County Fairgrounds, 1993″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Golden-yellow and black on madero beach speckletone. Run of 10.“The Ballpark, OOB, 1994″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Salmon and charcoal black on madero beach speckletone. Run of 7.“Stowe, July 1993″, 12.5 x 19” on 100lb French Paper. Forest green on madero beach speckletone. Run of 10.
Alone on the fairgrounds, a sinister Armenian man lurking in the background, Esther looks at us with haunted eyes, standing in the water that would swallow her life while clutching the puppet on her right. The story of Esther comes to life in this new 11″ by 17″ masterpiece from Augury Press. Never before has Phish’s tragic little heroine been immortalized so beautifully. Inspired by Art Nouveau and the works of Alphonse Mucha this piece is the next great installment in a series that includes Tela, and the perfect pairing of the Winter Queen and Fuego. This hand drawn digitally painted print is a must have for fans of one of Phish’s oldest tales as well as phanart collectors. Available now on Etsy for only $15. Order yours today!
