AJ Masthay Screens and Suds poster “Brew Master” on sale NOW

From AJ Masthay:

I love beer. So when a great organization like Screens & Suds asks if I’d be willing to create a beer related print for their fundraiser, it’s a no-brainer. This one goes out to all the artists who prefer to use hops and barley as their inks, and clean, crisp water as their canvas – to the BrewMasters!

These five color linoleum block prints are from an edition of 120 and are printed on archival quality Canson Edition paper stock. A portion of the edition has already sold out at last weekend’s Screens and Suds event in Virginia. My allotment of prints will be available on MasthayStudios.com this Wednesday, November 9th, at 12 noon EST. Is it too early to mention what a great holiday gift these would make?… Yes, yes it is, but I said it anyway didn’t I… As always feel free to email me at info@masthaystudios.com with any questions, concerns, comments, etc. Oh and by the way, I have begun work on my first ever quadtych (4 prints that work together to form a giant freakin image). I’ll let you guess what event its for….. stay tuned for more info!

Glowstick Wars NYE ticket contest, pre-show GSW and sale deals

Glowstick Wars is having a New Years Eve ticket giveaway contest, additional details can be found at the event page . The ticket is a mail order with a seat in section 105 for 12/31/11. There is NO PURCHASE NECESSARY and only one Facebook entry per person and one Twitter entry per person. Contestants can increase their chances of winning by buying a tube of glowsticks – one “name in the hat” for every tube purchased – or by submitting a video entry to Glowstickwars.com – one “name in the hat” for the submission, plus one extra name in the hat for every 5 Likes the video gets. The video with the most likes by the end of the contest on November 30th gets an extra 5 entries.

A new idea to kick off the New Years Run is a Pre-Show Glowstick War  When the lights go down on 12/28/11, the glowsticks start flying! A first of its kind addition to the awesome run of shows ahead of us.

For fans looking to pick up some glowsticks to bring the MSG, Glowstickward.com has made a few discounts available to fans through their store

Going with a few friends for the show and want to have a little fun on this run? Get a 10% discount AND free shipping on 5+ tubes. Use promo code: 5PHISHNY

Wanna get CRAZY and split some tubes with a bunch of friends? $150 cases of Show Sticks included shipping. 25 tubes of 100 sticks each. That’s 2,500 glowies! Promo code: 25PHISHNY

Glowstickwars.com is also going to be “donating” 5 glowsticks to every person that joins the page. 2000 people, for example, = 100 tubes. They will donate up to 125 tubes, a shitload of glowies!! Their plan is to hand these out outside MSG on 12/28 as people go inside the show. With 5 sticks per person and a little flier reminding them about the pre-show GSW, the first night of the run is definitely going to be the one of the brightest indoor shows ever!

2011 Commemorative NYE NYC MSG Token Pendant by Jennifer Kahn

Vermont artist Jennifer Kahn has been making jewelry for over a decade. Her designs fuse old and new, industrial and natural, urban and ethnic. She graduated from UVM with a BA in Art and English in 2001. Jennifer has sold her work at craft shows, in galleries and has been featured in exhibits across the US, UK, and Japan. Her work has been in top jewelry magazines and several books, included the cover of the Lark book “Stitched Jewels“.

For this New Years run, Jennifers’ second token evokes the current presence of activists camped out in NYC.  This year there are many fish and they play a more active role in the design – poised to take a bite out of the big apple. Not only does it commemorate the New Year’s Run with all 4 dates etched along the edge, but it is a true sign of the times with the letters “OCCUPY MSG” subtly spelled out among the fish. We might be small but our numbers are strong. From a distance the image resembles a flower… we come in peace.

Available in Sterling silver as a token $25, or pendant (on cord $38, or sterling chain $48) and NEW THIS YEAR – BRASS (not pictured) as a token $15, magnet $20, or pendant on cord $25. The token is the size of a quarter and makes a great holiday gift for your favorite fan! In a limited edition of 100 tokens, they are poised to sell fast. Jennifer’s signature can be found on the bottom edge. Once again, 10% of every sale will benefit The Mockingbird Foundation.

Pick up Jennifer’s newest creation here, and check out Jennifer’s Etsy Shop or if you live in Burlington you can also find her selling in Burlington, VT at various holiday craft shows and always on display at Trinket, 28 Church Street

Portland Timbers Ho shirts from PhishPDX

Seth Reynolds-Mohler grew up in New York state and first got the Maxell blow-back effect at SPAC ’95. Ever since then his fascination with Phish and love for the community has grown brighter and brighter. Transplanted in the West Coast, Seth began a simple movement to unite Pacific Northwest phans over the interwebs. The Phish community of the PNW has bonded and is a flourishing scene where regular “Phish Phry” meet-ups, public webcast parties, pre-show parties, and more occur on the regs. This effort and connection to the community inspires his t-shirt designs. For now, the TIMBER HO mash-up of the Portland Timbers MLS team is the offer-du-jour. However, find NYE-inspired designs to hit the scene on PhanArt and Phish PDX by December 1.

This limited edition TIMBER HO mash-up of the Portland Timbers MLS team features the Languedoc axe-head and signature f-hole treatment to the catchy Portland Timbers logo. This is a sharp design that any MLS phan can appreciate (bonus if you’re in Timbers Army). These unisex tshirts are Gildan Ultra 100% Cotton and pre-shrunk. There are only a few sizes left with no reprints until next MLS season and Summer Tour ’12. Orders ship within a day of payment via USPS Priority Mail. 10% of all sales will benefit Mockingbird Foundation.
