This pin is based on a concept by Greg ShowOfLife and Produced by 10 Minute Tube. The pin measures 1 1/2″ x 1 1/4″, has a two prong back and a design that is ‘loaded with glitter for that BLING.’ These pins come in a limited edition of 300, each numbered, of which 10 Minute Tube is selling 150 online. The Rhombus
This pin measure 1 1/2″, has a 3 prong back and is backstamped with the 10 Minute Tube design team name. The “Icculus Was Here” part glows-in-the-dark and the lizard is blinged out in glitter. 200 have been made so pick these up today!
Introducing Jiggs’ Alaska Pin with removable spinner!
This 9 color Alaska pin is made with black nickel. Measuring at 1.25″ with out the spinner and just under 1.5″ with the spinner attached. The spinner features the words popping above the mountains. The “old piano” features a moose (also in black nickle) stamped right above the keys. The spinner stays in place with the top clutch, and can easily be replaced with one of the locking pin backs. (Mine has stayed with a black rubber clutch, but you may want a locking one just to be sure).

God, it seems like New Years was ages ago… but we finally have our dates and I’m happy to announce Masthay Studios will once again be offering up a limited number of subscriptions for the first leg of Summer 2012! Two subscription options will be available, Regular andEnhanced, both of which will be available this Friday, March 9th at 12 noon EST on the Subscription Page ofMasthaystudios.com.
The regular subscription entitles the purchaser to every print created by Masthay Studios for the first leg of Summer 2012. This is absolutely the best way to ensure you receive those “high demand” prints, especially considering some prints may be exclusively available at the venue or associated poster shows.
Cost of the regular subscription is $300 including insured shipping.
The Enhanced subscription gives you the opportunity to choose two prints/panels from the sub to be “given the treatment”. The chosen prints will have their borders painstakingly enhanced with full color drawings by the artist, each a one-of-a-kind work of art. If there was a Ferrari of the print world, these would be it. Check out the Enhanced Print Gallery on our Flickr page to see examples of previously enhanced prints.
Cost of the enhanced subscription is $600 including insured shipping.

Each subscription will include matching numbers and will be sent in one shipment once all prints are completed.
A minimum of 10 prints will be included in each sub. Within the 10 will be at least one triptych and one set of mini-prints. If time allows and additional prints for the 1st leg of summer 2012 are created, they will automatically be included in the sub.
1st Leg subs will only include prints associated with the 1st leg of summer tour. Any prints for other bands or organizations created during that time will not be included.
Enhanced subscriptions take a significant amount of time to complete. Please allow for additional time to complete these enhancements before the subscription will ship.
Enhanced sub holders will be given the option to have all three panels of the triptych enhanced at an additional cost. Note – this additional cost covers only the three panels of the triptych, not the triptych in addition to two other prints.
Upcoming Gallery Show at the Windsor Art Center
For those of you in the northeast, join me and my fellow Connecticut printmakers at the opening reception of the 1st Annual Connecticut Printmakers Invitational on Saturday, March 17th from 5-7pm. The show itself features 12 printmakers all using different print techniques. Based on a 2010 lot shirt idea by Chuck Hoffman and designed by Jiggs, this Birds of a Feather pin features 9 colors, multiple cutouts, and a curved slider. The 1.5″ pin features silver metal as the background, and is double posted. This pin is released in a numbered series of 100 and will not be re-released. This 2.0 version is a correction from the first version, in which most of the run was misprinted. Pins in the 1-50 series will be available through Jiggs Lot, and pins 51-100 will be available from Chuck Hoffman.

It’s been a long time in the making, but she’s live! Masthay Studios 2.0 went live just a short time ago and features a brand new archive, blog and shopping cart. I couldn’t be happier with the way the site has turned out and have to give a huge thank you to Keller Web Solutions for putting the whole thing together.

Speaking of new release – three new prints will be available tomorrow Feb 13th at 12 noon EST. The first two are official prints for the Umphrey’s McGee shows this past weekend at The House of Blues, Boston and The Electric Factory in Philly. The third print is for Marco Benevento and also took place this weekend at Kendall’s Pub in Yorkville, IL. Check out the new web store for more information on these pieces.

Surrender to the Flow published their first issue in the Fall of 1998 for Phish tour and has continued to be a staple of tour ever since. From the tours of 1.0, Oysterhead in 2001 and a whopping SIX issues in 2009, totaling 14 issues total in 3.0 and 33 issues over the past 14 years, Surrender to the Flow is the best information you can get on lot, with great articles, stories and info that fans need while on the road.
STTF has grown to publishing 8,000+ copies per tour and is run masterfully by Christy Articola as editor, working with an all volunteer staff made up of members from the Phish community. Christy plans to keep publishing Surrender as long as the band keeps playing!
In an effort to digitize all past copies of Surrender to the Flow, Christy has found a fantastic digital magazine software called 3D Issue. Through a onetime purchase of the software, Surrender to the Flow will be able to feature pdf’s of all issues, including new issues as well. A hosting site is already secured so the next step is raising the money for the cost of 3D Issue.
A Kickstarter campaign has started so that Phish fans can support Surrender to the Flow’s digitizing effort and like with all Kickstarter drives, you can get some great benefits in return!
Three years ago today a party was held in Troy, NY to celebrate the publication of a most unique book,PhanArt: The Art of the Fans of Phish.The night started with a dinner for friends, artists and family before heading next door to Revolution Hall (RIP) for the party. With a semi-brief* intro about the book from the author, The McLovinsdebuted in New York followed by Long Island’s own The Flow performing two sets of Phish covers.
The night was four and a half years in the making, starting shortly after Coventry. That night we sold 1/5 of the first printing (250) and started what would lead to over $5800 in donations for The Mockingbird Foundation through PhanArt.net. Today PhanArt is donating $500 from the sale of the book and will donate another another $500 with the sale of the final copies of PhanArt. The first edition will not be reprinted, although it is available for sale as an ebook for Kindle, iPad and Nook and soon will be available for the Sony Tablet.
The future of PhanArt is bright, with the first printing remaining as an ebook, with all profits from the sale benefiting The Mockingbird Foundation. Later this year, PhanArt: 2009 will feature all the art from the first year of the return of Phish, as well as interviews and articles on the Phish community in the ‘3.0’ era. This edition will be designed by Josh Jacobs, adding graphic design experience to the layout and design of PhanArt. Yearly editions of PhanArtwill be created to compile the art which makes the Phish community so unique.
