Dave Russo

Dave’s MSG poster measures 11″x14″ and costs $30 in an edition of 1 Billion (collectors may choose their print number). Russo says of the print:

“To commemorate the roaring 20’s, I’m calling attention to our return to the gilded age where unchecked financial habits put us, once again, on a path of uncertainty. This is contextualized in the concert scene at a time when ticket sales are at their most gentrified ever. The baker boomers dream of scoring a NYE ticket as though it were Willy Wonka’s winning wrapper. Those lucky enough to attend must first bow to the scalping tycoons. Venue capacity is the new gold standard.

The edition number of 1,000,000,000 is a playful nod, forcing observation of the abstract absurdity of a number that is often discussed in news, but seldom witnessed in practicality.”

Phrames

This fall, Phrames released the 3 Bar collegiate Notable Number Collection hats. On December 30th, Phrames will be releasing 3 PhanArt exclusive Lawn Boy hats as part of Round 4. Explore a new realm of Phish & Futbol inspired apparel from PhooTykits

What is PHOOTYKits ?

PHOOTYKITS is a crossover project at the intersection of several different passions: graphic design, football (soccer), and Phish.

It re-imagines each Phish song as a Football Club and what each club’s crest and uniform (kit) would look like. The players on each team are famous versions of each song, as Phisheads commonly refer to them: the names are dictated by the venue or the city, the number by the show date. Real life soccer clubs’ team crests and kits have obviously served as inspiration for many designs but song/club associations are purely fortuitous and design-driven. To complete the exercise, the corporate sponsors are also all fictional, and to the best of my intent, tie back in some way or other to the song/team.

As this project gains traction with Phish and soccer fans, PhootyKits will be offering printing runs of fully customized kits (size/name/number) as soon as minimum order size is reached. These shirts are clever and they are going to take off. Visit Phootykits website now and get your club on the crest of this wave.
