Art show in Hampton at Conch & Bucket, October 18-20
Beginning October 18 and ending October 20, Conch & Bucket will present an art show and poster sale to celebrate the Hampton Coliseum and Phish’s return to the historic venue.
Michael Hamad of Setlist Schematics fame will take part as well as Joseph Griffith, winner of the Hampton Bay Days poster contest. Artists will feature the Coliseum and incorporate one song, and Hamad has mapped out some classic shows and jams from the Mothership. A contest among the artists featured will be held over the course of the Hampton run, with the winner receiving a metal trophy of the Coliseum designed and constructed by Hampton artist Cha Cha Mubinga. The announcement will be made during Tall Tall Trees set, which will begin shortly after the Surrender to the Boat trip on Sunday.
Voting is open to the public and will cost one dollar. All revenue from the votes will be donated to Saint John’s Church in an effort to feed the homeless in Hampton.
Conch & Bucket is the brainchild of Peter Pittman (owner of the Taphouse) and was recently visited by Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods. Conch proffers local seafood, steak, fine wine, and draft beer. It has a cozy back patio and is located in downtown Hampton just three miles from the Coliseum.

New Artist Alert: A Song He Heard the Ocean Sing – John Glenn Brings His Unique Style to Posters, Paintings and Boards!
John Glenn, a New Artist to Phanart and native of Asbury Park, draws inspiration from his surroundings, balancing the peace and power of the ocean with the faded glory of a seaside paradise long since lost and its still nascent rebirth. An artist and a phan John also integrates the music and experiences so many of us know and love into his unique works of art. Plying his skills and inspiration, he uses paint pens and some oils on just about any medium he can – creating works on the canvases, discarded wood and surf boards.
Featured here are some of his works that celebrate the 2012 NY New Years run and the many underwater trips on the train for so many shows at MSG as well as two of his unique hand painted surfboards. In addition to these you can check out John’s other works on his website and of his facebook page.
Keep Tahoe Woo! Stickers and Shirts
Inspired by the epic jam in Tahoe, here’s the obvious adaption of the ubiquitous Lake Tahoe icon on t-shirts and stickers. He’s returned to make these available in more colors and in stickers – see below for ordering links. 10% of the all profit go directly to The Mockingbird Foundation!
There is quite a background on this design. Remember the “Keep Trey Sober” stickers? The original version that design is based on is “Keep Tahoe Blue,” a non-profit “dedicated to protecting, restoring, and advocating for the ecosystem health and scenic beauty of the Lake Tahoe Basin.” You can check them out here:
In order to make these widely available and sold on-demand, he is using Zazzle to handle printing and shipping. They will handle all sales logistics: shipping, handling, returns/exchanges, etc. They have a 100% guarantee and frequently run sales, discounts, etc., so be sure to read all the fine print before ordering!
