Having been to 11 of the 18 shows this summer, we saw a great deal of great fan posters, which you will see in coming weeks here on the PhanArt Blog. At Canandaigua, we came across this really great print which may be the only fan print from that show (we looked, we only found this, if you made one, email us).
Ryan DeClerck and Jennifer Green made this print for the 6/29/10 Canandaigua, NY CMAC Phish show. It is printed digitally on 100 lb. paper, signed and numbered out of 100 by the collaborative artists Ryan DeClerck and Jennifer Green.
These prints will be available only at 42 Degrees and PhanArt Present: “The Art of the Fans of Phish”, a poster show taking place on June 20th, 2010 at 42°, located 15 minutes north of SPAC in Glens Falls, right around the corner from the historic Glens Falls Civic Center (10/31/94)
Cody’s print will ONLY be at 42° on June 20th until they are sold out. Come on up, its free, runs from 11am-3pm, and is a great place to hang out during the day with friends. Check out some art, great photography, and the greatest glass in the region!
From PhanArtist AJ Masthay: Hello and happy spring from Masthay Studios! The weather here in Connecticut has been absolutely spectacular over the past few days, everything is finally turning green and the flowers are blooming. I love Spring, although it makes it really difficult to hunker down in the studio…
I’m writing to let you know about an exciting event that Ill be taking part in at the end of the month. FANTASTIC HULLABALOO is two nights of music and arts taking place in the Big Easy during Jazz Fest.
Along with myself, additional artists on display will include Stanley Mouse, Jeff Wood, Scramble Campbell, Isadora Bullock, Ian Millard, and many more. A big thanks to Tripp at Taboot Art for putting the whole event together. Details including dates, times, bands, and a full artist lost can be found at www.fantastichullabaloo.com
I’ve also created a new edition of 100 prints that will be released at the event. Each is a 7 seven color linoleum block print on 13″ x 23″ Stonehenge paper stock.
Finally, I hope everyone has a great summer tour. Im already well into my first edition for it and plan at least a few new pieces to be released in the next few months.
Jonathan Blake, aka CrazyRedBeard has created limited edition run of 27 prints to commemorate the Trey Anastasio Band show in Charlottesville this past tour. Measuring 11 x 15 with a border for framing, this piece was completed with archival inks and paper and is signed by the artist. Jon mentions that the piece represents the band name in symbolic acronym: (T)ree(A)pple(B)ee. The apple, if you notice, contains an upside down OM symbol.
These prints cost $28 each, including shipping and handling. You can send payment through Paypal to crazyredbeard@crazyredbeard.com
First 5 buys will receive a free set of Hampton posters (1 print and 3 posters for the price of 1!).
In celebration I’m releasing two editions today, one that goes very well with today’s festivities, the other – not so much, but still fun.
I have a very small allotment of prints form the March 12-14th Umphrey’s McGee run at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. Obviously this is the one that is in the St. Patricks Day spirit.

Just breaking on to the poster art scene this year, Denver artist Franky Scaglione, rediscovers the fusion of his longtime connection to the Phish community and his passion for creating art. Scaglione has contributed shirt designs and stickers to the lot scene for years, but has recently found his niche in fine art screenprints.
Franky Scaglione's Magic City Binge
Scaglione completed his BFA in Media Arts at State University of New York (Fredonia) in 2002, and escaped the bitter cold of western NY for the mountains and sunshine of Colorful Colorado. Shortly after the move, he found himself teaching art in an inner-city middle school; it was the perfect gig, allowing him to feel out the teaching world while keeping the summers off for Phish tour. Within three years, Scaglione earned his MA at the University of Denver and began teaching high school art. This is what he loves and is still doing today.
Teaching drawing, painting, and printmaking allows Scaglione to constantly research and experiment with new media and approaches. Six years into his teaching career, he finds himself more inspired than ever before.
Look for his new release, Magic City Binge, to accompany Phish’s four-night run in Miami. Stop by his booth at Mock Show: EPIC NYE to say hello and check out his work.
