Bethel tryptych from AJ Masthay

The long-awaited release from AJ Masthay of his Bethel tryptych is finally here, and as AJ puts it, there is no “hippy dippy bullcrap, just straight up alien abductions. Lets face it, crazy stuff happens in old cow pastures at night, they proved it in 1969 and we’ll prove it again in 2011.”

Pin Me Down Designs

Pin Me Down Designs is the creation of Josh & Christy from North Carolina. Having been on tour since 1996, you may have seen them flip quesadillas on lot. They have been designing pins since summer 2009. Most of the pins are produced in small quantities or limited editions and designed based on their love of music.  Josh and Christy try to keep their designs modern and make their pins suitable for clothing, bags, hats or collecting. Each pin incorporates the limits of what can be done with a pin (i.e. the book pin and their spinner pins). Although most of their pins can be found on their website, they doe make a few ‘lot only’ pins that can only be found at shows.

The pins seen here include the Ghost Book Pin which is an actual tiny book that opens to read “Summer Tour 2011” on the left page. The tour dates and cities are listed on the right page. This pin is a limited edition of 300 for the first leg of Summer 2011. It measures 1.25” and has a double posted back. Cost for the pin is $20 plus $3 shipping and handling.

The Ghost Pin is a super cute Mini-Pac-Man style ghost wearing the Cheerio dress. This pin is .5” and has 1 post and is perfect to rock low key style. Cost for this pin is $10 with $3 shipping and handling.

Trey/Jedi Pin: This brand new design says Trey and flips to read Jedi. It features Trey’s Languedoc and a glow in the dark light saber! This pin measures 2” from guitar to tip of light saber and is double backed. This pin costs $18 with $3 shipping and handling.

Bethel Woods Print by Ben Whitesell

From Ben Whitesell, new to PhanArt!

Welcome to what I hope is the first of many Phish Fan Art Concert Posters that I will be creating for Phish’s Summer Tour. I am working closely with friend and collaborator Doug Whitworth, a true Phan, on several different concepts that will both stretch my creativity and hopefully put a lot of interesting work out there for the Phish community. Hope you enjoy!

Bethel, NY will be a LIMITED run poster — only 100 prints will be available. It’s first come, first serve and once the 100th print is sold we will close for purchasing. Posters can be printed in various sizes (16″ x 10.7″, 24″ x 16″, 32″ x 21.3″, etc…) and printed on various paper qualities with framing options.

Posters can be purchased at imagekind

Summer 2010 posters from Peter Washburn and Phil Luong

Peter Washburn and Phil Luong made these posters as a way to commemorate Phish’s 2010 Summer Tour as well as the July 3rd and 4th, 2010 shows in Alpharetta, Georgia.  They are printed on thick card stock and measure 13″ x 18.75″.

For the Summer Tour poster we used a shillouette theme with the Tweezer lyrics “Step Into the Freezer” as a juxtaposition to “Summer Tour” as well as an ironic way to escape the sweltering heat of the summer and enter the heat of the planet we know as “Phish”.

We created the posters for the July 3rd and 4th, 2010 shows in Atlanta (Alpharetta) to celebrate the nation’s birthday with a play on the very famous World War I Army recruitment made by James Montgomery Flagg in 1916.  In this case, however, both Trey and Mike are “Uncle Sam” and instead of saying “I Want YOU For U.S. Army” they say “We Want YOU To Be Happyfrom the song “Joy”.

Phil is a graphic designer in Jacksonville, FL and Peter is a botanist living in Greenville, SC.  They have each been seeing Phish since 1996. The summer tour poster is $15 while the “We want YOU” prints are $20, or get all 3 for $40!
